Legal Documentation - Lyrics Confirmed

After that long wait and sending two e-mail's I haven't received the lyrics. I've asked sir what to do and he said, 'Well you can listen to the song and write down the lyrics'. I just nodded when he said this as if to say, 'yeah sure, thats exactly what I'm going to do'. Then all of a sudden a light came on in my head. 'Why don't I see if its on google', and thats what I did. Went onto google and typed in 'Untouchable' by 4Flava Lyrics. I crossed my fingers and prayed, the resuts came up and there it appeared like a gift from God the lyrics, staring straight at me. I clicked the link copied the lyrics and 'Bobs Your Uncle'. I didn't think the lyrics would be anywhere considering the band is not mainstream.

The following link will direct you to Untouchable Lyrics by 4Flava

Research - Costume & Make Up

Due to the fact that I have decided to use several different locations for the dance video I believe that it will be effective to also change the costume of the dancers as the locationns change. This willl ensure that I am taking into consideration the style of music. Previous resaerch shows that costume chamges have been made to suit the mood of the music as we change location or from verse to chorus of via versa.

Meet The Cast

As I have decided to create a music video for a girl band, it is important that I portray the band as much as possible. In doing so I have asked my close friends to feature in the video.

Although there are only three cast members against the bands four members I believe that I can still pull it off. Its not QUANTITY its QUALITY! REMEMBER ; )

Research - Location/Setting

Due to the upbeat tempo and genre of the track I believe that the location of the music video should be in a dance studio, skate park or generally focused in an urban area. Music videos that have incorporated this look include:

  • Jamilia 'Superstar'
  • Avril Lavigne 'Skater Boi
  • Destinys Child 'Lose My Breath'

In doing, tyhis allows the dance sequence, costume and make up and other aspects of Mise en Scene complement the music video.

Research - Dance Sequence

The song I have chosen for the music video is upbeat with a combination of R'n'B, Hip-Hop and Pop. In order to complient this I feel as though the video I create must have a dance sequence. In doing so this will also show how I have been able to intergrate my research or past, present and up and coming girls into the video.

A video that inspires me to add a dance sequence into my music video is Cheryl Cole's 'Fight For This Love. This is because the the dance sequence is focused upon the main artists and the dancers. In addition the location of the dance sequence is bright which complements the dance moves and the music genere. It allows audiences to see the intricate dance moves. Other aspects of Mise-en-Scene that entice me are the costume and make-up of the artist and the dancers. The dancers all wear the same costume and make up. In order to make the main artist stand out she wears something different.

Other dance sequences that inspire me are:

  • Pussycat Dolls - Beep
  • Destiny Child - Lose My Breath
  • Cassie - Long Way To Go
