In my brief overview for the Digi-Pak, I began by defining what a Digi-Pak was so I'll do the same for the Magazine Cover.
OK ... Let Me Think ... Define: Magazine Advert (I didn't really type that to Google ; )
Well, I guess its all in the name. A Magazine Advert is a form of communication that aims to encourage/entice potential customers to purchase or consume a product. In this case the magazine advert I would create would encourage individuals to buy the new 4FLAVA single - 'Untouchable'. More to the point it promotes the band/artist as well as the song. And that's exactly what I'm gong to do. With the right equipment, technology and everything else I am going to create a magazine cover.
I dont want to get too ahead of myself and research too much about the Magazine Adverts because I'm sure Mr. Johnson has a list of things he want us to cover. But I hope after reading this post you know and understand what a Magazine Cover. If not, you can also type it in to Google = )

True To My Word
The Christmas holiday - just CHILAXING! True to my word I am going to do some research doing this Christmas break. As part of the project not only do I have to create a Music Video but I also have to make a Magazine Cover and Digi-Pak. Considering I have already given a brief overview about the Digi-Pak I think its only right to give a brief over view about Magazines.

We Wish You A Merry x3 And A Happy New Year.
At last the Christmas Holidays have arrived. Although its the holiday I am going to research information about the Digi-Pak and The Magazine Cover. Before I go today I'm going to ask Miss Thompson to look at my Music Video and give me some advice. Even if its a criticism I going to take it on the chin because I need all the advice I can get.
After looking at the video so far Miss Thompson's verdict is...
After looking at the video so far Miss Thompson's verdict is...
- It looks really good so far
- I think there needs to be more cuts
- To show a change in the three location maybe you should use a transition or even create scene whereby the cast are moving over to the next location.
- I can see that you have captured aspects of the Pop, R'n'B and Hip Hop Culture this shows that I have good knowledge and understanding in the research area of the coursework.
- The extra cast used in the club scene as well as their costume and make-up used on them doesnt look professional. In order to follow the genre of the type of music video you are trying to take I think this should be changed.
I've been able to take this on board so I guess after the holiday I'm going to do some work on that. I'll still be thinking about any changes I could make once I get back.
Anyway seen you soon.

Lost Without You
Its been 1 week since Mr. Johnson left us to go on jury service. Although he has left us with some work today the world of media and film studies is not gonna be the same without him. It might not even work. Well, all we can do is try our best - do as much filming and editing as possible. Well I hope you enjoy your time on jury service and I guess I'll see you after Christmas.
Although this may seem a little CHEESY but I thought that it would be a good idea to use song titles for some of the posts. Didn't you realize from my previous post titled '2 Become 1' and 'Goodbye'. These songs both had music videos attached and featured the most famous girl band over the last 10 years - SPICE GIRLS. As I'm making a girl ban music video I thought it was relevant.
This time round I've used Robin Thicke's - Lost Without You. Although a love song I think those three words show that if Mr. Johnson is not there media studies doesn't really go according to plan or function as well : (

This song is not a literal description of how I feel I just felt it relevant to add a music video that relates back to the coursework as well as the post.

Editing Problems
I started editing my video only to find out that the clips are too long. In order to resolve this I have tried several techniques. I have copied and pasted a long clips making sure I have two of the same clip then split the play head on one off them. Although I took this approach the the clips did not match the upbeat/tempo of the track so this was a no go!
My second technique was the old fashion way which was to go out and film again ensuring that I film from different angles. Considering I had filmed already I just had to ask the singers/dancers to repeat the verses so that I can get different shots and angles. To be honest I should have thought of this before it would have been much easier. Anyway one thing I have learnt about filming is that you learn through trail and error!
Lip Syncing Problems
The problem starts here. As you know I have started filming and now I have to import the audio (track) on to the video file and edit the lip syncing according to the video. This process has not been to bad for me because my singers have memorised the song and made sure that everything is in the right place. In order to make it easier I have also written down the time that each clip should be placed.
