- Sub Genres include: Grunge Hard Rock, Christian Rock.
- Fusion Genres include: Rap Rock, Afro Rock, Samba Rock
Reggae Music
- Originated in Jamaica in the late 1960’s.
- Related genres include; R ‘n’ B, Jazz, Blues, Mento, Calypso, Ska, Rock Steady.
- Related instruments include, BASS, Drums, Guitar, Organ, Melodica, Brass Instruments.
- Also known as Dancehall and Dub

- Constructed/created mainly for the use of dancing
- Forms of dance formed through dance music include the famous Cha-Cha, Tango, Waltz and Salsa. Modern day dance music consists of break dancing, free styling.

- Originated in the 20th century in the US
- Instruments used are; vocals, Organ, Guitar, Drums, Horns, Piano, Hammond
- Mainstream popularity is Interracial
- Used to express the thoughts and feelings of Christian life
- Sub genres; Urban Contemporary Gospel, Southern Gospel
- Fusion Genres; Christian Gospel Music.
